1. Hold down the "CTRL," "ALT" and "DELETE" keys on your keyboard. Select "Task Manager" in the screen that appears. Select "Processes" in the tabs on the top of the window.
2. Select an "App" or "Background Process" that you want to end. Click "End Task" in the bottom right corner to stop the task immediately.
3. Click on the "Startup" tab at the top of the window to control what apps start up when your computer does.
4. Select an App that you want to disable from starting up. It's a good idea to pick ones that have a "High" "startup impact," as shown all the way on the right. Click "Disable" to disable the app from starting up. Click on the "Details" tab to find a more detailed list of processes. Select one of them, and then click "End Task" to manually end that task
