1. Type in "Audio" in the Windows 8 Start menu. Select the "Settings" option.
2. Select the "Find and fix audio recording problems" option in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Click "Next" in the Recording Audio screen.
4. Select a microphone and click "Next." It's a god idea to select specific microphones if those are the ones that you're worried about.
5. Click on a solution to access it. If Windows couldn't find the problem, then click on "Explore additional options" to get some other approaches. Click "Close" to exit the window.
