1. Type in "Photo" into the start screen in Windows 8. Select "Apps."
2. Click on the Photos option in the top left of the Search screen.
3. Select a general category to open for photos. An example is the "Pictures library."
4. Open the folder in the picture library that you want to view, such as "Screenshots."
5. Select the photo you want to view to open it in the Photo viewer.
