Change Lock Screen Settings in Windows 8







1. Search for "lock screen" in the Start menu and select "Settings."

2. Select the "Lock Screen" option in the top left.

3. Click on a background that you want for the lock screen when the settings window for it appears. The current one is shown at the top.

4. Click the "Browse" button if the picture you want is on your hard drive somewhere instead.

5. Click on the box with the plus icon on it to add new apps you want to run in the background when your screen is locked. These apps can display quick status updates, For example, your mail app can display the amount of unread emails. You can also click on a box already listed to change it to something different.

6. Click on the box under "Choose an app to display detailed status" to change the app that shows detailed information on the lock screen.
